ProVent protects the flooring through the air exchange that is efficient and fully replaces the effect of a 200 micron LDPE. ProVent’s ventilation feature releases the moisture so that there is simply no need for additional moisture protection. We have tested this in real life and our customers are using this feature for their benefit.
Laying Instructions
Before starting to lay the material, take care that the sub floor is even, dry, clean and pressure resistant. ProVent should be rolled onto the floor parallel to the wall at right angles to the direction in which you plan to lay the floor covering. It can be trimmed with a cutter or sharp knife. Once the underlay is laid out all joints must be taped. If laying over cement screed, the joints should be sealed with a waterproof tape such as duck tape. When the whole room has been laid, the intended floor covering (laminate, cork, prefabricated parquet etc.) can be laid on top.
ProVent is to be layed with the air channels down/facing the concrete screed. ProVent ensures ventilation through the air channels/grooves and therefore they shouldn’t be closed!
